Shining Stars
He tells me I’m like blue in the ocean…
Yet I’d rather be a star in the sky.
Perhaps all the stars are similar –
But every single one of them knows how to shine.
It’s enough just to say I’m ambitious
At least, more than he thinks I am.
Still, I wish he would stop all the griping.
Aren’t daddies supposed to be their girls biggest fan?
So what if I’m like blue in the ocean?
My water will find something new.
Then I’ll prove that I am something special –
Everyone is. Me and you.
