I love barreling off that plane,
Racing to find you,
Hurdling highly above bags,
Skipping straight through the obstacles,
Urging my bag to fly forward faster,
Sprinting outside,
Eyeing you by the trunk,
And springing into your strong arms.

I love ridding shot-gun in the jeep,
Blasting the Backstreet Boys,
Belting out songs obnoxiously,
Boogying like we’re invisible,
Fabricating silly faces at the cars driving by,
And laboring to snag a breath between bursts of laughter.

I love meandering through that house full of
Sisters
That aren’t as sweet as they suggest.
I love cramming into a twin sized bed
With you
Cross at your cuddling.
I love escaping that house to Woody’s
Chowing on
Tons of wood grilled pizza.

I love waiting all morning
For you
To check in from your classes.
I love watching you dance with in the masses of your friends,
Boasting about you to anyone near,
Clapping my hands off,
Roaring your name for everyone to hear,
Receiving ice cream afterwards,
Then devouring dinner from a drive through on the way home.
I love laughing
With you
About everything we have missed.

I love traveling to Colorado,
Crashing with you,
Committing my favorite week,
Creating memories of a life time,
And cringing at the thought heading home.

I love it
Because
I love you,
I love it
Because
I miss you,
I love it
Because
I wish your home didn’t dwell so far away,
I love it
Because
It’s the only time I spend with you.

I miss you my sister

My sister went to college in Colorado and my poem is about missing her.
