Let me escape
the interminable need.

It pulls me,
a whisper crescendo-ing into a cacophony of voices.

I follow the voices.

I fall within its gravity.
And once I do, its soft, steel grasp
can never be undone.

And as I drown in its façade of love
never beginning

I stand so tall within a gravity,
which steps and pushes and pulls me… down.

Leave me be.

Your gravity caresses every part of me
that falls so easily.

I fall to you.

Because I know I am not strong enough.

Because my fragile conscience cannot withstand the rope
that has bound me to you.

There is only one thing I know,
One thing I can say.

And I see now,

you are the only thing that holds me.

I was inspired over someting that happened, to write about how difficult it is pull away from something you are addicted to. It could be someone ina relationship, drugs, alochol, etc.

I really like this poem... it's well-written and the use of metaphors was done with great care... so they were meaningful... great work!

Think you could check out mine sometime?
