The Light

As the light broke through the dark
Like a fire starting with a spark
At first it was a flash
Like a huge tidal wave splash
It flooded over the land
Up to where I stand
It glowed in the sky
Up where the angels fly
For this is why the day has begun
So that us mortals could watch the sun
