Angel
I get the phone call
Rush to her house
Can’t believe my eyes
Limp on the floor
No movement
Not even a shallow breath
She’s an angel now
The bells toll
Tears Fall
My Best Friend is gone
The priest speaks in a solemn voice
More tears
She’s an angel now
I stare at my phone
I think to dial her number
Ask if she wants to chill
Then I remember
She’s an angel now
So young
So full of life
This was the last thing
Anyone expected
Then there was a bang
A bang that forever changed
Many of our lives
A bang that forever ended hers
Walking with loved ones past
She’s an angel now
