Freezing Water
Do you remember? I do.
It was a day in September,
A Sunday afternoon.
The screaming, the yelling,
The Ice cold water
Surrounding our bodies,
The burst of shock,
Running thru our veins,
The pierce numbing sound,
In my ears hearing him scream,
While he’s jumping off the bridge.
The sight of not seeing him come back up.
Swimming in after him,
Hitting him on the head with my hand.
Us coming up for air,
Not doing so good,
From laughing at our stupid selves in 40 º water.
