Escape
Rise up out of bed, the ray of sun shines in my eyes.
My days are running thin.
My world is falling apart, from within
I’ll throw back those satin sheets.
Forget the shoes, forget looking in the mirror.
I don’t want to see myself,
I just want to run.
Bust open the closest door.
Don’t stop to think
Don’t look around
Just run
Run, until your feet don’t touch the ground.
What I’m looking for isn’t here, I won’t stop until it’s found.
Just run, don’t miss a step, inhale, exhale.
The wind is breathing on me, the sun is playing hide and seek.
I confuse rain with tears.
I shake, I shiver, I began to weaken.
Drop to my knees,
I scream.
Thunder, rain, sweat and tears accompany me.
Insanity has become my best friend, I walk hand in hand with let downs and heart ache.
My thoughts are a screaming child, even with blasting music, I need, crave, want an escape.
How will I find it?
