Hand to Hold
Hand to Hold
You hold the world
in the palm of your hand.
Gently smoothing away
cracks and bumps.
You hold the light
of peace and love;
Shining your warmth
into lonely souls.
You hold the tears
that I have wept,
and dry my sorrows
by your fingertips.
You hold laughter
like a melody,
Singing your symphony
Into raging nightmares.
You hold the key
To hopes and wishes.
Granting desires,
upon a shooting stars.
You hold the breeze
from the oceans and seas.
Breathing life into
Smiles and happiness.
You hold the truth
In your eyes,
Twinkling with secrets
And courage unknown.
You hold the weight
of every human
On this planet, constantly
Fighting against the dark.
You hold the world,
In the palm of your hand.
And your hand will
always hold my heart.
