Tornado Alley
Clouds of anger envelope my body,
And lightning flashes amongst these clouds.
Creating an enormous storm of me,
A torturous tornado tearing through a tiny suburb.
Ripping buildings from their concrete bases,
And then whipping them across the town.
Sucking up everything in my path and then hastily spitting it out into citizens’ faces,
Unleashing buckets of monstrous hail, creating a horrific sound.
Tearing houses into shreds and leaving piles of rubbish everywhere,
And flinging innocent people from their houses without a care.
Destroying the tiny town and then leaving it with my problems in which they must deal,
Hoping to create a massive wound that will take years and years to heal.
As the tornado begins to die out inside of me,
I wonder, “What was it again that made me so angry?”
