The author's comments:
From personal expereience, I have found that almsot everyone expereiences "crushing" on a person that does not feel the same way towards them. Though we all get over situations such as these, and may even laugh about them later, it's the fact of the matter that our feelings are so real and our emotions become inevitably hurt. This poem is a reflection on the feelings evoked when a person realizes that maybe the like, or even love, factor just isn't there.

i really like it. really simple, but really expressive. i like that it captures so effectively something everyone has felt and the ease with which one can relate. keep writing! if you have any comments on m work, they'd be greatly appreciated.
