Globe Life
Dreams,
Like raindrops,
When formed stand still
Only to drop with weight
Affecting all they touch
With hope.
Perched on a leaf,
A tiny globe,
Somehow entrapping all around it
¾a new miniature world in tension—
Destroyed at the slightest breath
Of the wind
Only to rise up again.
Loss of identity by touch.
Entwined forever in mass solitude
Frenzied in motion and meaning
To find sanctuary against
The storm, that is, itself
Knowing without knowledge that
Without it, something would be lost.
