The Chasing
The world closes in.
I check the situation.
My heart hammers
Against my ribs.
It’s all turning black.
My world is turning for the worst.
I wish I could recall,
What made this moment so.
No one can save me.
The death is creeping,
Creeping, oh, so slowly.
I can feel the pain.
My legs fail me,
I cannot move.
I try to save,
My wasted life.
I trip and fall.
I am here,
From my own account.
The Angel of Death approaches.
Vain is my death.
