Battle Ground
I looked up at the jets today,
Feel the ground shake now,
Have to get out somehow,
But it wont be to soon until we disappear,
Seeing people get blown into my direction,
I walk along the wounded,
How do I get out,
I see the dead here,
A person sitting in the office can’t wait,
Until my friends death place,
I continue to stare at the ground,
Invisible numbers are on the ground,
Matching the same invisible number on our backs,
But we continue to fight thinking ever breathe might be our last,
Time goes by so slow,
Bullets keep chasing me but only to miss,
I walk along the wounded,
How do I get out,
Only fighting for our leader who sits in a chair,
Grinning with no reason to care,
Soon its going to be to late.
