Like You
Like You
I wish I could sing like you
High, clear notes in the cold morning air
Reminiscent of a beauty I have never known.
I wish I could dance like you
Twisting and curling profoundly,
Like a glider in the summer sky.
I wish I could love like you,
A bubbling stream, a glittering waterfall
As pure as the clearest of diamonds.
I wish I could live like you
But at the same time,
I’m a little glad to be me.
