i never really stopped for time
I never really stopped for time
So father time stopped for me
He stopped the days from rushing pat
And made long my memory
The summer days
So long and sweet
With my friends did I share
The sun’s rays were always burning hot
Wafting slowly through the air
The autumn days
So crisp and cool
With my family did I share
The leaves were always falling down
The trees never quite bare
The winter days
So cold and short
With my teachers did I share
The frigid, blistering, windy days
And the snow so pure and fair
The spring days
So warm and nice
With nature did I share
The flowers all came to say hello
And let me know they cared
I never really stopped for time
So father time stopped for me
He opened up my eyes to life
Oh what a sweet novelty
