The best cure for writer's block is...to write

Written Words
flow freely through
me-
they are
me
I am
blessed-
i can create.
i am
cursed-
my words are
read, never
heard...

The author's comments:
I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one to feel this way. And yes- it is partly self-inflicting.

People who think sitting in a church will make you a christian must think that sitting in a garage will make you a car.

It is short, sweet, and beautiful. I think anyone who has ever writtin can realate.

I write, not to be heard, but to express, to inspire, and to create. These words are yours, and they hold value, but why does that value dwindle if they are only heard by you? They should be carried in the same light, no matter the number of viewers, because poetry isn't supposed to be proud, it's supposed to be intimate, and a reflection of self, and life. Reflect on why you write, and yourself, not who is reading.

those r to completely different lines! you cant go on about that! this is freeform. for one situation, people can write how they feel it. so why does it matter if the word me is used twice in the same stanza?

Gerard Way: "Hey, girls, you're beautiful. Don't look at those stupid magazines with sticklike models. Eat healthy and exercise. That's all. Don't let anyone tell you you're not good enough. You're good enough, you are too good. Love your family with all your heart and listen to it. You are gorgeous, whether you're a size 4 or 14. It doesn't matter what you look like on the outside, as long as you're a good person, as long as you respect others. I know it's been told hundreds of times before, but it's true. Hey, girls, you are beautiful."

Wow I love this poem AND all the comments! I feel like I'm not alone.

Yes, it repeats the "me" part. "Written words/flow freely through/ME-/they are/me.

Loved it, except for the repeat "they are ME"--that part says "me" twice.

I can totally relate to that. Great job at writing. I love the simplicity of it. Great Job!
