Blizzard
My love is like the snow
Elegantly it falls to encase you
But you always shy away
“I love you,” you say
And is this what I should believe?
That I truly am what you need?
My hope is like the rain
It falls to sink down
Into the Earth
And as it will disperse
A few more days
And it falls again
My heart is like a grape
One pinch and it could
Forever break
So in your hand
My heart you take
To forever hold
Or is this just rain?
My fate is like the wind
I have not a clue
What path I should take
Or where I should begin
I don’t know if it should rain
Or snow
And I’m not sure if here I should stay
Or there I should go
Because my thoughts are like the seasons
They change and they waver
Without any reason
Or sudden behavior
Yet, this I believe
Naïve as I am
My love is like fire
It burns with desire
And so I aspire
To be the snow around you
The ice that you see
But do you blizzard for me?
