Life's Blanket
It starts so soon
And ends so fast
Your life is weaving
Into a blanket
Always growing
Getting bigger
With everything you add
Shapes form
And patterns arise
Colors dance
The lines weave
And you move your way through
All of the moments
As life goes on
Trapped within the threads
You make them stretch
Adding more room
For so much life
And experiences
And energy
And love
Soon
You are old
Living for so long
The blanket is worn
The color
Faded
The patterns
Rested
Yet new ones have still yet to form
Finally
When the threads meet
Are sewn back up
And added to the rest
You see yourself
Reflecting into others
Through Life's Blanket
