Why Should You Care?
I walk out of the room.
Suddenly, bubble gum floats into my nose.
Then it happens.
I see them—
Not those girls again!
I sigh.
They ask me, “Why do you have such an attitude?”
Oy Gevalt....
“What are you talking about?”
“You’re just so rude when people talk to you.”
I manage a deep breath, but my eyes glower.
I grind my teeth and my eyes narrow.
“I’m being perfectly calm.”
“Yeah, but—”
“Listen—I don’t want to hear it.
Stop terrorizing me.”
I feel their beady little eyes on me as I walk away.
Are they right?
I remember our past interactions.
Come to think of it,
I have replied irritably to her.
But is it my fault?
Why does she have to get all up in my face?
Who is responsible? Who is to blame?
The fault is hers and mine,
But let’s not play this game.
