Splendor
I sit
All alone
Waiting, waiting,
Waiting for something,
Anything,
To come and break this spell.
Why I sit here
I don't know,
But I sit here
Enraptured
By the beauty
Of the nothingness
Which surrounds me.
It is a quiet place,
With no one but myself.
It isn't lonely,
But friendly.
Having seen the sun
Disappear,
I am engulfed
By darkness
And am awoken to find
The splendor
Of life.
