A Moth to the Flame
Burned before,
Burned by the flame,
Lured in from the dark
And burned again and again
Scarred before,
Scarred by her kiss,
Her lips of fire
That I cannot resist
Can’t resist, can’t reject
This fills me with shame
I’m drawn to her so
Like a moth to the flame
Is it safe now?
Will she be my friend?
Or will she wait ‘til I’m near
And burn me again?
No matter how many times
She’s burned me before
I always forget
And com back for more
She is the one
That I love to be close to,
But she is the one
That I’m not supposed to
I’m cursed by the flame
Controlled by my love
Cursed by my shame
That I cannot get rid of
Like a moth to the flame
I fail to learn
When you fly into the fire,
You always get burned.
