"I feel morphed in my own skin, seeing it with my own eyes-I am frightened?"

This pixilated beauty queen can only take so much.
Her tears strike her face like a thousand tiny needles-
Joining together to puncture the sorrowful skin
That fate and bad decision has left her with.
She can’t stop the blur of her eyes
Or the flick of her fingers
As she trembles in his cold cloud of anger.
She tries to clear the smoke
Only to choke on the stench of
Her own mistakes.
Even the loudest cries of remorse
May not drown out the words spoken
Through furious teeth-
Hacking through the walls built up
To tear down the one who hides behind them.
Do the words spoken with a vengeance
Hold more truth than the language
Told with a conscious mind?
“Please don’t eat the weak,” she cries.
“Then please don’t make me bleed.”

This piece is meant to be about guilt and anger. I was feeling extremely remorseful about a certain event when I wrote this.
