Freedom
Freedom.
I'm on my horse, Haily.
Her tangled black mane
Lays out over her neck
And I twist it around
My fingers
Caked with dirt,
And I stroke her
As we indulge
In what is
Around us.
The breeze weaves
Through the trees
By the lake.
The sun kisses the
Glistening water
Ever so gently.
Haily sighs
Beneath me
And I rise
And fall
As does she.
The bonds
Of friendship
Are never as strong
As between
A girl and her horse
As Haily and me.
The security and happiness
I feel
Is superior
To all emotions.
And as nature
Swallows us
In its beauty
And tranquility
We close our eyes
And enjoy this
Freedom.
