Believers
Smooth meticulous designs,
with the face well recognized since The Civil War.
On the other not just the face, but his body upon a chair,
motionless inside his marble home,
Both sides no different then their brothers.
Scraping my finger nail along the even ridges,
circling it.
Some born in the 1980’s.
though the oldest I’ve witnessed is 1968.
Most people don’t like them,
especially with an aged green tint.
They bow and cherish their mother of Liberty,
for they are the same,
though everything comes in different shapes and sizes.
Born for the same, but not so same reason,
both are to represent our father America,
and her, leading the way with a flame undying
which caught the eye of believers.
