Too Late
A short stroll just up the street,
To the place where his girlfriend chose to meet.
He went in blind, not knowing the situation,
Totally unaware of her sick intention.
A slap to the face, a blow to the ego,
He stalks away, knows just where to go.
Gets a friend then heads back for round two,
Everyone knows they're not nearly through.
Lots of yells, curses, and tears explode,
They each want a turn to just unload.
Truths come out, it's over now,
He gathers his friend while he's wondering how.
How he's known her so long and never figured it out,
Only answer is she's been fake throughout.
Gets on the bike, it's time to get out of here,
Can't stand for her to be anywhere near.
Racing down the wrong side of the road,
Wind feels nice, it's not even cold.
Gaining more speed as he loses aggression,
He's riding a high, not paying attention.
He looks up to see a jeep rounding the corner,
Wishes he could have been able to warn her.
He grabs the brakes and tries to steer around,
He wasn't quick enough and they both hit the ground.
Nothing could save them, it must have been fate,
Help tried to come, but they were too late.
