The Porcelein Marionette
False smiles and never changing glass eyes
Hanging from strings others pull for her
Letting them jerk and manipulate her
A painted false smile hides the sorrow
That no one but herself knows about
Glassy outside
Hollow Inside
Just the slightest impact could crack her shell
Then she would be broken
And no one would care
They would just throw her away like a broken toy
Without her strings, she is lifeless
Always hollow within
Always dancing on strings to please others
No feelings
No heart
No tears
No dreams
No soul
No will
Never alive
Never dead
Always dancing on strings to the rhythm of others
Flawless doll-like shell
Broken inside
Lacking what it takes to be alive
Lacking what it takes to be dead
Never belonging anywhere
Always changing with the music
Always able to dance to any rhythm
Of her surroundings
But hiding what she thinks
To please others
