Sell Out?
Dusk til dawn
She wishes she was gone
& those black tears run
With all her inherent fears
What to do, who to be?
Tbey always make it sound so easy
If only for a way out,
Perhaps she can escape the society route
But blood is thicker than water
& she’ll always remember what her father taught her
Don’t fret so much as it works out in the end
‘Cause what time does best is heal and mend
So maybe I don’t know just yet
One thing is for sure – the sun will set
It will rise again, with the ocean tides
At least I wont be telling myself any lies.
