Fixed
My paralyzed soul
Refrains from your touch,
Your feel.
I cannot live
Without your breath
On my hair.
Without your earthy smell
Lingering on me.
Your love was
Never confirmed,
But I believed.
You said a short break
Wouldn’t be hard.
You lied.
My heart is glass, shattered.
Shattered, and piercing my bloody flesh.
But you,
A boy,
Wouldn’t understand.
I found HIM.
HE cares.
HE loves me.
HE used duct tape,
And took the time
To repair my heart.
It’ll never beat the same,
But HE’LL always fix me up.
