Martin Luther King Jr.
When you kick me down,
I'll stand back up,
You try to break my strength,
But I'll never give up,
You want a fight,
I say no,
You dislike my non-violent efforts,
But I keep telling my troops go,go,go,
Will I succeed?
I may never know,
But does that stop me from hoping and praying?
Of course not, no,
I don't do this for the fame,
The power,
The glory,
I do it for my children,
For brotherhood,
For equal rights,
It may seem at times like a losing battle,
But if I can't fight,
I may as well die.
