In the rain
Rain.
Falls down.
On me.
Hits my bare skin.
Refreshes my tired body.
My nerves are alive.
My senses are hightened.
I turn.
Slowly.
Breathing deeply.
Clean, cold air.
My head is tilted back.
Moisture running down my throat.
Purifying me.
Rushing through my veins.
A tingling sensation.
Suddenly.
It stops.
And all I feel is wet, cold water.
Running over my bare skin.
Soaking through thin clothes.
I shiver.
Walk slowly forward.
Towards shelter.
Safety.
Warmth.
