Sure Sea
These waves are so soft to your feet
You hop over them gracefully
That girl stands with her hips soaking in the water so the sun can dry the ocean's salt momentarily
I stand on the fragile tide
And the ends of my hair stick to my back as the tide surrenders
The unavoidable waves come galloping back
You carelessly step over the sea, wetting your ankles
She holds hands with the capping blue and gentle glides with it
I am swallowed whole
I took my chance on the ocean
My friends walked safely through
But when the tide pushed me back to land I opened my eyes and saw the colorful world
You and her felt security
But I felt free
