Pt. 1: Raining Down From the Sky
It's all coming down
Raining down from the sky.
Falling out across the globe,
spreading doom wherever it lands,
because the bombs descended,
Raining down from the sky.
Not caring much their destination,
scorching earth and shattering ground
where rain used to fall,
Raining down from the sky.
Growing life from the soil,
emptiness into beauty.
It matters not; the fallout is plummeting,
Raining down from the sky.
A sky red with the blood of the innocent,
cracked with dismay
of the utter destruction
that rained down from the sky.
A swath of death was cut into the world,
never again to be healed.
Only to know agony,
Raining down from the sky.
Scourging all in it's path
as it erases existence
from the remains of ash
raining down from the sky.
A blanket descending around us;
ghostly grey, it chills our souls
and, with dread, we remember
the Hell that rained down from the sky.
