I Miss You
I miss you, my dear.
Though I have just left, I miss you.
I miss the way you say my name,
and the hours of nothingness we spend
Together.
I miss the way my head fits perfectly
in that little space between your brains and brawn.
My fingers look so lonely without yours;
I think they miss you too.
Even the annoying strands of loose hair,
that beat against our faces in the dancing wind;
they miss you too.
My legs, those cruel twigs that took me away from you;
They are too stubborn to admit they miss you.
But they do.
I miss you, my dear.
Though I have just left, I am dreaming of ways to come back.
To come back to your smile,
to come back to your heart,
to come back to your world.
