Lost and Alone
She died every day
And woke up to the pounding
In her head
The sound was beginning
To mark the end
Her body felt tense
Her fingers were shaking
She took another dose
And fell to the floor
There was no blood
There were no tears
She knew what she was doing
And she was ready for the abyss
When they found her
Fallen on the floor
The mourned her for a minute
And hauled her body out the door
