For Scott Walz
March 11th, 2010.
It has been a week since he last walked this earth.
Since his heart last pulsed,
Since he last smiled,
Since his sister found him.
Today is his funeral.
Today it is raining,
Today he is with his God,
Today he will be put in the ground.
Yesterday was the wake.
Yesterday there were lightsaber fights,
Yesterday there was singing of Queen,
Yesterday there were hugs.
Tomorrow there will be memories.
Tomorrow there will be what should have been his graduation.
Tomorrow there will be emptyness where he should be,
Tomorrow there will be life without him.
This is in the memory of Scott David,
Brother of my two friends Em and Ryan,
Son to a wonderful father and mother,
Family to others,
Friend to many.
Sept. 12, 1991-March 4, 2010
