Keys playing slowly
Softly pacing one by one
Ebony and Ivory
Both in unison now
Filling the air with sweet sound
Refreshing as the mountain air
Hands going over each note
With delicacy and care
A sonata empowering
Enough to make the sky weep
Tears of stars and a face of glowing moon
Into the bones of those the music seeps
Each tone pulling at a beating heart
Emotions never falter
This music, from end to start
So modest in its tune
Able to make one laugh or cry
Making the heart live or die
Hidden feelings boil true
To the sounds of this soft tune
Two people humming it now
So low only the night can hear
Their love forever glowing true
The sonata of the moon...
