Under Warranty
You had my heart in your hands
I gave it to you for safe keeping
But to you it was just a game
Like many others before me
So you handed my heart
Back all broken and battered
Damaged beyond repair
I will live with the scars
And the scattered old memories
For the rest of my life, because
Hearts don’t come under warranty
After you traded me in
For the new shiny model
I can’t trade this hurt
And this pain and this heartache
For a fresh brand new start
That’s untainted and pure
Because I had to learn the hard way
That hearts don’t come under warranty.
