Moon Child
The full moon
Hovering like a pale face
Of a sad, beautiful woman
Casting her blueish glow
Over the forest of eternal midnight
Her silver tears
Scattered across her midnight hair
Forming the stars that shone so bright
Mila, daughter of the moon
Disappered among the ancient pines of the forest
And so the moon wept
And demanded her lost daughter be found
Else the forest suffer eternal night
I heard her demand
A thousand years ago
The wood is still and silent
Keeping me it's prisoner
Through all these years
For I am Mila
The moon's beloved daughter
As always I see my mother
Hovering above the dusky pines
I've been trying to yell out to her
To let her know I am here
But all my cries are in vain
Muffled by the needles of the pines
And the forest sleeps in eternal night
