I run upon this path
I run into the abyss
Crying, sobbing
I run from my problems and my worries
I am lost
Lost among my thoughts
Nowhere to be found
Without you I find no reason
To stop running
To stop crying
I continue upon no path
I seek no destination
I just want to get away
And nothing else
I am forced to stop
As I reach the edge of the earth,
The non-existent plain,
I dive into the unknown
I fall
For how long, I do not know
An eternity passes until I finally
Hit the sharp waves
Of the ocean
The clear, cold water
Comforts my soul
Washing away the worries
I look out from above the water
And I see the world
For once everything is clear
My eyes have truly opened
I cry
I cry for what was once beautiful
I cry for us
I cry for all the lost souls
All the broken hearts
Most of all
I cry for myself
One small thing
Ruining a perfect life
A perfect love
I watch the sun descend
The sky turn black
The colours fade
I wish I knew what was real
And who was not
I wish I wouldn’t fall
For the charade
Put on by so many people
I remember
The times when I was full of joy
A smile always upon my face
I remember when there was something
Behind the looks you gave
I remember what we were
I long for us to go back to
Our old way
I long for my misery to end
