Everyday's a Mystery
As I tiptoe through the sand
The sun gleams down upon the water
My grandpa holds my tiny hand
I am his granddaughter
We built sandcastles in the sun
I always try to rekindle the fun
Many years have passed since I’ve seen your face
The bond we had upon that day
I’ll always remember that special place
Still holds strong to this day
You sat beside me in the sand to hear
All of my biggest ocean fears
The water was so bright and blue
I’m glad my family all was there
I knew I could always count on you
We will always have the memories to share
Our memories were left there
With our footprints for all to bare
The memories of the beach are in my mind
The sparkling water, waves, and fresh crisp air
I never want them to be left behind
That blew through the strands of everyone’s hair
As the tears were filling my eyes
It was time to say goodbye
