I really loved you,
But I just lost you,
You bit into my veins,
And it sure did cost you.

Thousands and thousands,
Of tears of the floor,
Thousands and thousands,
So let's count some more,

The way you yelled,
One,
The way I cared,
Two,
The way you dwelled,
Three,
The way I am...
Shoot.

Oh I'm so sorry,
We're all out of time,
You were on the right track,
But the end of the line.

Now this all crumples up,
And goes into the basket,
And is sealed up so tightly,
Like a midsummer casket.

Now there's no quick solution,
To your burning rage,
Just leave me locked up,
Safe in my cage.

So I sit here and wonder,
Why I think without thought,
And wonder when I leave,
What trouble I've brought.

Without passing insight,
But perhaps some regret,
I hope we've enjoyed,
This little lament.

But our lives are so sober,
When we look at it all,
How easy to rise,
How easy to fall.

I couldn't think better,
Of a place to be,
Than ten thousand feet high,
And falling with me.
