Junkie
He held his head low
He felt so high
But he told himself this was it
This was the last time
Tomorrow he'd stay clean
He wouldn't use
But drugs were his life
What'd he have to lose?
His home, his family,
His friends, and his job?
His long-distance girlfriend
And even his dog?

On the cold, bathroom floor
Syringe in his arm
Gotta hit that vein
It'll take away everything
Numb all that pain
The money's all gone
He begins to steal
Paying for that habit
Guess it beats living real
But it got him in jail
Now look where he sits
No drugs to stay sane
This is what he gets
