Take another look
Eyes red from crying
I walk down the hall
Head up high
Yet I still feel so small
Everyone wonders but no one does ask
Why it is that my tears do last but
If they were to just take another look
I’m sure they would see
Just how strong I’m trying to be
With my heart breaking inside her chest
You better believe I’m trying her best
If they were to take another look
I’m sure they could guess
Why it is my heart beats in distress
Keeping it all together is harder than it seems
Especially when the past fills my dreams
If they were to take another look
I’m sure they would see
That my heart is locked for it is he who holds the key
But he’s changed and won’t look back to the past
Even though he knows it ended too fast
If he were to take another look
He could give you a clue
Of why it is my heart is in two
But he won’t even give me a single glance
Because he doesn’t want to give us a second chance
In my heart I want to believe
That it is not his desire to make me grieve
But if I was to take another look
I’m sure I would be able to see
That he knows exactly what he’s doing to me
