Not so normal

It's funny how
We accept that the clouds hang above us,
Suspended in the sky.
We accept that the Sun rises in the day,
And the stars and the moon come out at night.
We accept that the bear sleeps in the winter,
And The birds flock north in the summer.
We accept that the leaves change in the fall,
And branches are bare in the winter.
But how is it that we cannot accept
The diversity and uniqueness of the people that surround us?
