Why Does A Broken Heart Have To Bleed?
No one ever sees me.
They all think I’m just fine.
Inside, my heart is breaking,
So, I cry and I cry.
Still, no one seems to care.
These scars left inside me never let me go.
The mistakes once made,
The hearts once broken,
Are now the scars I hide inside.
My heart hasn’t stopped breaking.
I don’t know why.
This never ending piece of broken glass
Is already shattered into millions of tiny pieces.
You don’t have to step on them.
Those words you say only make it worse.
You don’t know who I am
Or even where I’m from.
Still, you stand and stare.
You talk about me
As if I can’t hear
Or as if I’m not there.
My heart’s already broken.
I know that no one cares.
I know that no one sees me.
You don’t have to make it worse than it already is.
