Favorite Quote:
If it is to be, it is up to me.

The sky above me
Blue like the grass beneath me
Green like the sky above
And everything is just fine

The butterflies are black
The ants are purple, pink, yellow
This would confuse the average fellow
But to me, everything is
Just fine...

My toes are red
The nails are brown
The blue jays are as red
As the robins are blue
I don't want to talk about it
Let me just blink, it'll get better
Everything is just fine

As obvious as your white pupils
Swimming in inky tears
As obvious as the colors bleeding into each other
I will avoid concern, for I am a hero
I am invincible
I am JUST FINE

The author's comments:
As a teenager, I know that it can be challenging to take heed to advice. So many of us think that we are invincible, that certain things could not happen to us. We do not take things seriously. We turn up our iPods, close our eyes, and avoid our surroundings. This poem was written to express the oblivion of youth today.
