The Jungle
The jungle is lush and green,
Full of beautiful, bright colors
And teaming with all forms of life.
What a sight.
Full of beautiful, bright colors
Are the tucans that fly above the jungle floor.
What a sight,
As they search for food and a place to soak up the light.
The canopy twists and turns to the rhythm of life.
The monkeys bounce from tree to tree,
All the while creating lyrics for the canopy.
Little do they know how disrupting they can be.
The monkeys bounce from tree to tree,
Enjoying their play time and grabbing a bite to eat.
Little do they know how disrupting they can be,
Until a mama leopard growls to make them flee.
Chameleons lounge on tree limbs,
Hoping to catch some dinner as the light dims.
Everybody scurries home for the night,
After they have fed their appetite.
Hoping to catch some dinner as the light dims
The leopards creep and stalk at the jungle rims.
After they have fed their appetite,
They head home for the night.
