Feast
The knife was so sharp
That she pricked her finger with it.
She stared at its silver gleam,
Briefly glimpsed her reflection,
Her grim expression.
The blade pierced the skin
So quickly, so cleanly.
Watery blood fled
From the wound of her victim.
She held up the knife again
For a second turn,
And savagely butchered
The raw pork chop.
