Truthful Eyes
This world
So calm and serene
When viewed from space
Making it's usual revolutions.
Or from the curious, vulnerable
Eyes of a child,
Peering out an airplane window.
Houses in rows,
Blue pools in the backyards,
Monotonous
And perfect.
Closer and closer
The cracks start to show.
Those people inside
Pretty little houses
Are not so perfect
Anymore.
Nor is the world.
Violence
Abuse
Kidnapping
Murder.
Just a few on the surface.
The tears shed here
Could replace the
Beautiful, vast oceans.
The ones that have consumed
So many lives over the years.
Every aspect
Of the Earth,
Ever perception
Is drenched with imperfections
That cannot be erased,
Or covered.
No matter
Through who's eyes.
