Intolerable Pain

When I think of pain,
I see shameful faces looking to the past.
When I think of pain,
I hear the worried cries of loved ones being pushed away.
When I think of pain,
I taste the bitter fear of going back to that cold dark place i knew so long.
When I think of pain,
I smell the freshly rained upon earth under the harsh wrath of the lord.
When I think of pain,
I feel the guilt that has dawned on me for the longest time.
